Hattah Lakes is a major River Murray floodplain system in north-eastern Victoria. Reduced flooding has contributed to high soil salinity, poor tree health and the loss of wetland function.

Leading a multi-disciplinary team of hydrologists, engineers and groundwater scientists, Ecological Associates is developing options to restore natural water regimes to the floodplain. The project provides the first comprehensive assessment of floodplain water requirements and comparison of water delivery opportunities.
